This page is intended to be a resource for those investigating sightings of flying saucers. R. George doesn't own any of the images on this page, and means for them to simply be used as a resource for research. There is an attempt made to organize these saucers by shape, but there are many possible variations that make exact classification a more difficult task than one would assume. If you cannot find a craft that matches any of the ones on this page, please feel free to reach out here.

Adamski type saucers are so named after George Adamski, the early UFO contactee. Originally believed to be piloted by Venusians, these craft are notable for their tall not-quite-dome and semi-circular sides which do not have the lenticular bottom that one would expect. Though many appear to have small protrusions underneath the slope, their bottoms are notably flat. Their scale suggests occupants of the Nordic "Space Brother" type as often encountered in the 1950s. On a related note, this craft is the type most often associated with the Die Glocke UFO believed to be controlled by the Nazis during the Second World War - no evidence has been found to support this claim.

First seen during the Billy Meier encounters of the 1970s, these craft are typically believed to be piloted by Space Brothers from the Pleiades. This type gained a second life with the account of Bob Lazar's work on the "Sports Model" in Area S4. They are known for their nearly symmetrical sloping top and bottom halves which flatten out.
Lazar's name makes reference to the sleek, aerodynamic design of these saucers - in opposition to the more traditional dome-on-saucer style. This model has received additional attention with the popularity of the "I Want to Believe" poster as featured in the X Files.

This classic Flying Saucer design is notable for the relatively low dome which sits upon the main part of the saucer. While this shape is commonly associated with crafts of the 1950s, these associations are likely due to the design of UFOs in the B movies of the day. Sightings of this craft type are far less common than one would tend to believe.

The high dome saucer stands somewhere between the Adamski type and the low domed craft. Unlike the Adamski models, these ships have a domed top and bottoms which mirror the top slope. They're differentiated from the low dome craft by the less aerodynamic features of their taller dome. They are amongst the more commonly seen saucer ships.
Flat Top Saucer
Though generally similar in appearance to the low dome saucers, these craft differentiate themselves with their flat tops. These tops greatly range in size, but are united in their flatness. They differ from the Meier type by way of their large, flat bottoms. Both McMinnvile images are shown so that the potentially different angles of view may be accounted for.
